Installing The Heat Sink 1. Place the heat sink into the chassis. 2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the captive screws securing the heat sink to the system board. 3. Connect the heat sink cable to the system board. 4. Install the cover. 5. Follow the procedures in After Working Inside Your Computer. Removing The Processor 1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer. 2. Remove the cover. 3. Remove the heat sink. 4. Press the release lever down and then move it outward to release it from the retention hook that secures it. Lift the processor cover and remove the processor from its socket. 24

Installing The Heat Sink
