Enter the slot/port number to display MAC Port Security for a specific interface. This command displays the following information. TABLE 152 Output from the show port security command This field... Displays... Port Security Violation PortShutdn (minutes) Total/Count/Type SecureMac Age-Time Learn The slot and port number of the interface. Whether or not the MAC Port Security feature has been enabled on the interface. The total number of violation that has occurred. The action to be undertaken when a security violation occurs. The default is, "shutdown". The number of seconds an interface is shut down following a security violation. How many minutes the restrict or shutdown action will be in effect. "Permanent" means the interface is permanently shut down. The amount of time, in minutes, MAC addresses that were learned on the interface will remain secure. Displaying the secure MAC addresses list on the device To list the secure MAC addresses configured on the device, enter the following command. BigIron RX# show port security mac Port Count Secure-Addr(S) Vlan 3/2 1 0003.0000.0001 (S) 1 3/2 2 0003.0000.0002 (S) 1 3/2 3 0003.0000.0003 (S) 1 3/2 4 0003.0000.0004 (S) 1 AgeLeft --------permanent permanent permanent permanent Syntax: show port security mac This command displays the following information. Displaying MAC Port Security information

Syntax:

show port security

Enter the number of the slot (for

) to display MAC Port Security settings for a module.

Enter the

slot/port

number to display MAC Port Security for a specific interface.

This command displays the following information.

Displaying the secure MAC addresses list on the device

To list the secure MAC addresses configured on the device, enter the following command.

Security

Whether or not the MAC Port Security feature has been enabled on the

interface.

Violation PortShutdn (minutes)

Total/Count/Type

The total number of violation that has occurred.

The action to be undertaken when a security violation occurs. The default is,

“shutdown”.

The number of seconds an interface is shut down following a security violation.

SecureMac

Age-Time

How many minutes the restrict or shutdown action will be in effect.

"Permanent" means the interface is permanently shut down.

Learn

The amount of time, in minutes, MAC addresses that were learned on the

interface will remain secure.
