Possible values are 40 - 8000 seconds. The default value is 180 seconds. To modify the neighbor timeout value to 100, enter the following. BigIron RX(config-dvmrp-router)# nbr 100 Syntax: nbr-timeout The default is 180 seconds. Modifying route expires time The Route Expire Time defines how long a route is considered valid in the absence of the next route update. Possible values are from 20 - 4000 seconds.
