ENGLISH (4) Setting the sleep timer (remote control unit only) • The included remote control unit can be used to turn the power to the standby mode after a maximum of 120 minutes. (Sleep timer) • Use this function to automatically switch the power to the standby mode after a specific amount of time (minutes). Example: To set the power to the standby mode in 50 minutesaccording to the clock. Be sure to correct the current time setting. 1 Select and play the desired function. 2 Press the SLEEP button. • "120" is displayed and the "SLEEP" indicator flashes. SLEEP 120 SLEEP Remote control unit The display switches as follows each time the SLEEP button is pressed: 120 90 60 50 40 30 20 10 "SLEEP" indicator off 3 When the "SLEEP" indicator is flashing, press the SLEEP button again until "50" is displayed. • "50" is displayed and the "SLEEP" indicator flashes. 50 SLEEP SLEEP Remote control unit • After 4 seconds, the display returns to as it was before the sleep timer was set, and the "SLEEP" indicator stops flashing, remaining lit. (This completes the sleep timer setting.) NOTES: • If the SLEEP button is pressed while the sleep timer is operating, the setting returns to 120 minutes. Make the setting over. • If the sleep timer and everyday timer settings overlap, the sleep timer has priority. 8:00p.m. 9:00p.m. 10:00p.m. Everyday timer setting ON + Sleep timer setting ON OFF OFF If the timers overlap like this, the timer operates as follows: 8:00p.m. 9:00p.m. 10:00p.m. Timer operation ON OFF Does not operate • Also, the everyday timer will not operate if its start time is set within the time during which the sleep timer is operating. Everyday timer setting + Sleep timer setting 8:00p.m. ON 9:00p.m. 10:00p.m. Does not operate ON OFF OFF • The remaining time of the sleep timer can be checked with the STATUS button. 4 The power is set to the standby mode 50 minutes later. To turn the sleep timer off, press the SLEEP button repeatedly until the "SLEEP" indicator turns off. The sleep timer can also be turned off by press the power button on the main unit or the remote control unit to turn the entire system's power to the standby mode. 72
