When you select the Performance Test, the program requests the disk drive identifier and disk drive type. Seek Test This test checks the seek capability of the hard disk on the specified range of cylinders and heads. The program performs a series of sequential seeks followed by random seeks. It reports any errors found. When you select Seek Test, the program requests the following hard disk parameters: Disk drive identifier Disk drive type Start cylinder number End cylinder number Start head number End head number Read/Verify Test This test checks the read and verify capability of the hard disk on the specified range of cylinders and heads. The program performs both sequential and random read and verify operations. It reports any errors found.
