Troubleshooting Caution O After using the product, wash the contact points lightly with a damp cloth and allow the product to air dry. If the product is placed in the cradle when it is dirty, it could corrode, malfunction, or cause a communication failure. O If charging or data transfer becomes unstable, clean the contact points on the product and the cradle with a damp cotton bud and allow them to air dry. O If product operations become unstable or if functions do not operate correctly, perform a system reset (hold down all four buttons at the same time). Problem solving Problem Basic actions Nothing is displayed on the LCD screen. The product does not react to button presses. The LCD screen turns off or turns blue during use The clock turns off. The time is not set correctly. Measurement stops while exercising. Solution The battery needs to be charged before use. Charge the battery. See "Charging" on page 14. The battery needs to be charged before use. Charge the battery. See "About the battery" on page 20. If the product does not operate after charging, reset the product. See "Resetting the product" on page 93. Perform a system reset. See "Resetting the product" on page 93. When you leave the product for a while, it enters sleep status and the time display turns off. This is not a malfunction as the display is restored the next time a button is pressed or you move the product. If the display is not restored, the battery is running low. Charge the product. See "Charging" on page 14. To prevent the product display from shutting off, disable the Auto Sleep setting. See "System settings" on page 78. Set Time Adjust in the Sys. Settings menu.
