Chapter 2 Setup Connecting the Optional External Buzzer You can use the optional external buzzer (OT-BZ20) by connecting it to the drawer kick connector. You need to change the printer settings to make sure that it can be used. • The optional external buzzer and the cash drawer cannot be used together at the same time. Do not connect them both to the printer at the same time by using a branch cable. • If you enable the optional external buzzer, the cash drawer cannot be operated even if it is connected. • You cannot use the built-in buzzer and the optional external buzzer. When using an optional external buzzer on a model with a built-in buzzer, set the DIP switches for the built-in buzzer to "Do not operate" for each drawer kick connector pin 2/pin 5.
