13 Getting started Battery HTC ChaCha uses a rechargeable battery. How long the battery can last before it needs recharging depends on how you use HTC ChaCha. Among these are the features and accessories you use (for example, leaving your Bluetooth™ connection always on uses more power). Long phone calls and frequent web browsing uses up a lot of battery power. Also, consider your location: poor signal strength from your mobile network and extreme temperature make the battery work harder. Removing the battery thin film Before using your phone for the first time, you need to remove the thin film wrapped around the phone's battery. 1. Take the bottom cover off. 2. Remove the battery. 3. Remove the thin film from the battery. Removing the battery 1. Take the bottom cover off. 2. Lift the battery out from the right side.
