Page 15 highlights

Step 2: Install the drive Airflow requirements for the tape drive are 6 cfm (0.17m3/minute or 10.08m3/hour) at up to 35 C ambient operation. This rises to 8 cfm for up to 40 C ambient operation. Ventilation must be adequate at the front and rear of the Tape Array unit to ensure that this is maintained. 1 Ensure that the extractor lever on the drive is in the out position, as shown in Figure 4. 2 Lift the drive carefully. 3 Align the rear of the drive with the guides on the side of the tape array. 4 Slide the drive along the guides, until the connectors on the back mate with the connectors at the back of the enclosure. 5 Push the extractor lever in until it locks the drive in position. The HP StorageWorks Tape Array 5300 is designed to provide adequate airflow for up to two full-height tape drives (like the HP StorageWorks Ultrium 230, 460 or 960 drives) or up to four half-height drives. If you are installing only one full-height drive in the tape array, you must use blanking plates in the unused bay. See the documentation with the tape array for details on installing blanking plates. 13
