Bluetooth module NOTE: The Bluetooth module spare part kit does not include a Bluetooth module cable. The Bluetooth module cable is included in the Cable Kit, spare part number 495064-001. Description For use in all countries and regions except Japan and Asia Pacific countries and regions Spare part number 483113-001 Before removing the Bluetooth module, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 44). 5. Remove the hard drive (see Hard drive on page 50). Remove the Bluetooth module: 1. Position the computer upside-down with the rear toward you. 2. Remove the Bluetooth cover by lifting it straight up (1) and off the computer as far as the cable connected to the module will allow. NOTE: The Bluetooth module is housed in the cover. 3. Remove the Bluetooth module from the clip in the cover by sliding it straight down and out of the cover (2). 4. Disconnect the Bluetooth module cable (3) from the Bluetooth module. Before removing the Bluetooth module, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4.
Remove the battery (see
Battery
on page
44
).
5.
Remove the hard drive (see
Hard drive
on page
50
).
Remove the Bluetooth module:
1.
Position the computer upside-down with the rear toward you.
2.
Remove the Bluetooth cover by lifting it straight up

and off the computer as far as the cable
connected to the module will allow.
NOTE:
The Bluetooth module is housed in the cover.
3.
Remove the Bluetooth module from the clip in the cover by sliding it straight down and out of the
cover

Disconnect the Bluetooth module cable
