SIM Toolkit SIM Toolkit (STK) consists of a set of commands that are programmed into the SIM card. The toolkit defines how the card should interact with the outside world and extends the communication protocol between the card and the handset. It supports various value added services typically provided by the operator or third party companies. Power Using the Power application you can view the amount of battery power remaining. The Power application also enables you to set the standby period, duration for turning off, and USB charging speed for your HP iPAQ. To change power settings: 1. Tap Start > Settings > System > Power. 2. Tap Advanced and select the length of time the HP iPAQ stays on when using battery power or AC power. 3. Tap USB Charging and select the Use USB Charging check box to enable USB charging. Select any of the following options: ● Fast Charge - Charges at 500 mAh. ● Slow Charge - Charges at 100 mAh. NOTE: Clearing the Turn off device if not used for check box on the Advanced tab will keep your HP iPAQ on at all times and will drain the battery. For more information to make the battery last long between charges, see Battery saving tips on page 19. Backlight The Backlight application enables you to view and change the backlight options, such as brightness of your HP iPAQ. To change backlight settings: 1. Tap Start > Settings > System > Backlight. 2. Tap Battery Power or External Power. Select the Turn off backlight if device is not used for check box and select the duration from the list. NOTE: Clearing the Turn off backlight if device is not used for check box from the Battery Power or External Power tab will keep the backlight on at all times and will drain the battery. For more information to make the battery last long between charges, see Battery saving tips on page 19. Tap Start > Settings > System > Backlight > Brightness.
