This allows you to determine if a particular node is accessible on the network. • If the device is not present in the NS list, the problem is between the device and the switch. There may be a time-out communication problem between edge devices and the name server, or there may be a login issue. First check the edge device documentation to determine if there is a time-out setting or parameter that can be reconfigured. Also, check the port log for NS registration information and FCP probing failures (using the fcpProbeShow command).
