Speakers Description Speaker Kit (includes left and right speakers and cables) Spare part number 740154-001 Before removing the speakers, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the keyboard/top cover (see Keyboard/top cover on page 23). 5. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 28). Remove the speakers: 1. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board. 2. Disconnect the speaker cable (1) from the system board. 3. Release the speaker cable from the clips (2) built into the base enclosure. 4. Before removing the speakers, follow these steps:

Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.

Disconnect the speaker cable

that secure the speakers to the base enclosure.
