SIM slot board Description SIM slot board (includes cable) Spare part number 740168-001 Before removing the SIM slot board, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the keyboard/top cover (see Keyboard/top cover on page 23). 5. Remove the speakers (see Speakers on page 26). 6. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 28). Remove the SIM slot board: 1. Release the ZIF connector (1) to which the SIM slot board cable is attached, and then disconnect the SIM slot board cable from the USB board. 2. Remove the Phillips PM2.5×4.5 screw (2) that secure the SIM slot board to the computer. Component replacement procedures 31

Before removing the SIM slot board, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the

Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.

6.
Remove the battery (see

Remove the SIM slot board:
1.
Release the ZIF connector
(1)
to which the SIM slot board cable is attached, and then disconnect
the SIM slot board cable from the USB board.
2.

that secure the SIM slot board to the computer.
