NOTE: When replacing the USB board, be sure that the WWAN module (see WWAN module on page 37) is removed from the defective USB board and installed on the replacement USB board. Remove the USB board: 1. Disconnect the WWAN antenna cables (1) from the terminals on the WWAN module. NOTE: The WWAN antenna cable labeled "5" connects to the WWAN module "Main" terminal labeled "5". The WWAN antenna cable labeled "6" connects to the WWAN module "Aux" terminal labeled "6". 2. Release the ZIF connector (2) to which the USB board cable is attached, and then disconnect the USB board cable from the system board. 3. Remove the Phillips PM2.5×4.5 screw (3) that secures the USB board to the base enclosure. 4. Remove the USB board (4) and cable. NOTE:
When replacing the USB board, be sure that the WWAN module (see

) is removed from the defective USB board and installed on the replacement USB board.
Remove the USB board:
1.
Disconnect the WWAN antenna cables
(1)
from the terminals on the WWAN module.
NOTE:
The WWAN antenna cable labeled “5” connects to the WWAN module “Main”
terminal labeled “5”. The WWAN antenna cable labeled “6” connects to the WWAN module
“Aux” terminal labeled “6”.
2.
Release the ZIF connector

to which the USB board cable is attached, and then disconnect the
USB board cable from the system board.
3.
Remove the Phillips PM2.5×4.5 screw

that secures the USB board to the base enclosure.
4.
Remove the USB board
(4)
and cable.
Reverse this procedure to install the USB board.
