1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 48). 2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 48). 3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 50). Remove the fingerprint reader cable: 1. Detach the fingerprint reader cable (1) from the computer. The fingerprint reader cable is attached to the computer with double-sided tape. 2. Release the ZIF connector (2) the fingerprint reader cable is connected to, and then disconnect the fingerprint reader cable from the system board. 3. Release the ZIF connector (3) the fingerprint reader cable is connected to, and then disconnect the fingerprint reader cable (2) from the fingerprint reader extension cable. Remove the fingerprint reader cable:
1.
Detach the fingerprint reader cable
(1)
from the computer. The fingerprint reader cable is attached
to the computer with double-sided tape.
2.
Release the ZIF connector
(2)
the fingerprint reader cable is connected to, and then disconnect the
fingerprint reader cable from the system board.
3.
Release the ZIF connector
(3)
the fingerprint reader cable is connected to, and then disconnect the
fingerprint reader cable
(2)
from the fingerprint reader extension cable.
To install the fingerprint reader cable, reverse this procedure.
