Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 33). Remove the front speakers: 1. Disconnect the front speaker cable (1) from the system board. 2. Release the tape (2) that secures the front speaker cable to the battery. 3. Remove the front speakers (3). Before removing the front speakers, follow these steps:
1.
Turn
off
the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is

then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
3.

Remove the front speakers:

Disconnect the front speaker cable

from the system board.
2.
Release the tape

that secures the front speaker cable to the battery.

Remove the front speakers
