Battery Description 3-cell, 41-WHr, 3.6-AHr, Li-ion battery Spare part number L08496-855 Before removing the battery, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 25). Remove the battery: 1. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (1). 2. Remove the four Phillips M2.0×3.5 screws (2) that secure the battery to the computer. 3. Remove the speaker cable from the clips on the bottom of the battery (3). 4. Lift the bottom of the battery, and then remove it from the computer (4). Reverse this procedure to install the battery. Component replacement procedures 27

Before removing the battery, follow these steps:
1.
