TouchPad board Description Touchpad board (includes cable) Spare part number 774598-001 Before removing the touchpad board, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the top cover (see Top cover on page 28). Remove the touchpad board: 1. Position the top cover upside-down. 2. Remove the three Phillips PM2.0×2.0 broadhead screws (1) that secure the TouchPad board to the computer. 3. Lift to disengage the cable from the adhesive securing it to the computer (2). 4. Separate the touchpad board from the top cover by pulling it downward away from the top cover (3). Before removing the touchpad board, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the top cover (see
Top cover
on page
28
).
Remove the touchpad board:
1.
Position the top cover upside-down.
2.
Remove the three Phillips PM2.0×2.0 broadhead screws

3.
