Solid-state drive (SSD) NOTE: The solid-state drive spare part kit does not include the cable, bracket, or screws. These components are included in the Solid-state Drive Hardware Kit, spare part number 777653-001. Description 256-GB solid-state drive, TLC 256-GB solid-state drive, MLC Solid-state Drive Hardware Kit (includes cable, bracket, and screws) Spare part number 777651-001 777652-001 777653-001 Before removing the solid-state drive, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the top cover (see Top cover on page 28). 5. Disconnect the battery. Remove the solid-state drive: 1. Disconnect the cable (1) from the system board. 2. Before removing the solid-state drive, follow these steps:

from the system board.
2.

that secure the solid-state drive bracket to the
computer.
