Power button board Description Power button board (includes cable) Spare part number 809310-001 Before removing the power button board, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 24). 5. Remove the optical drive (see Optical drive on page 25). 6. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 28). 7. Remove the system board (see System board on page 40). Remove the power button board: 1. Release the ZIF connector (1) to which the power button board cable is connected, and then disconnect the power button board cable from the USB/audio board. 2. Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×2.5 screws (2) that secure the power button board to the computer. 3. Remove the power button board (3).
