Shut down the computer. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the base enclosure (see Base enclosure on page 34). Remove the battery: 1. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (1). 2. Remove 6 M2.0x4 screws (2), and then lift the battery to remove it (3). Reverse this procedure to install the battery. Component replacement procedures 35

Before removing the battery, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by
first
unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4.
Remove the base enclosure (see
Base enclosure
on page
34
).
Remove the battery:
1.
Disconnect the battery cable from the system board
