Removal and Replacement Procedures 6. Remove the optional external battery pack, if installed, by following these steps: a. Turn the notebook bottom side up with the front facing forward. b. Make sure the external battery pack is located behind the notebook rear panel. c. Slide the external battery release latches toward the inside of the notebook 1 (Figure 5-3). d. c.
