Step 4, Install Mass Storage Cage

The HP NetServer has a cover plate on its chassis front over the expansion bay in which you will install the mass storage cage. Unscrew its six retaining screws, as shown in Figure 2-1, and remove the cover plate. Figure 2-1. Remove Cover Plate Store the cover plate and screws for future use, in case you ever remove the second mass storage cage. Step 4: Install Mass Storage Cage NOTE The secondary mass storage cage is shipped with filler panels installed. Leave the filler panels in place while you install the cage. Do not install hard disk drives before you install the cage. If you are installing a hot-swap mass storage cage that already contains hard disk drives, remove them before you install the cage. 9

The HP NetServer has a cover plate on its chassis front over the expansion

retaining screws, as shown in Figure 2-1, and remove the cover plate.

Store the cover plate and screws for future use, in case you ever remove the

NOTE
