If you selected a higher resolution, you may have to turn off the OmniBook display to see the higher resolution on the external display. 5. Click OK. 6. If you changed the resolution, you must restart Windows to see the new resolution. To switch between external and built-in displays • Press FN+F5 to switch between the external and built-in display. To connect a television or VCR You can use your television as an external monitor. You can also videotape procedures by connecting your OmniBook to your VCR. If you have an SVHS television or VCR see "To connect an SVHS device." 1. Make sure the television or VCR has a standard Video In RCA connector. Plug a video cable into the connector. 2. Set the OmniBook's display resolution to 640x480 (other resolutions will not work). See "Changing the Display Type" for more information. 3. Plug the video cable from the television or VCR into the Video Out connector on the back of the OmniBook. The OmniBook automatically senses and enables video output. To change the television type (NTSC or PAL) The OmniBook supports the European standard (PAL) and US standard (NTSC) video formats. 1.
