Release the ZIF connector

NOTE: When replacing the top cover, be sure to remove the following components from the defective top cover and install them on the replacement top cover: ● Power button board (see Power button board on page 36) ● TouchPad button board (see TouchPad button board on page 37) Remove the top cover: 1. Remove the eight Phillips PM2.5×5.6 screws that secure the top cover to the computer. 2. Remove the ten screws located on the top cover. 3.
