Power button board Description Power button board (includes cable) Spare part number 722908-001 Before removing the power button board, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 30). 5. Remove the keyboard (see Keyboard on page 31). 6. Remove the top cover (see Top cover on page 33). Remove the power button board: 1. Turn the top cover upside down, with the front toward you. 2. Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×2.78 screws (1) that secure the power button board to the top cover. 3. Release the power button board ribbon cable (2) from the top cover. (The power button board cable is attached to the top cover with double-sided tape.) 4. Before removing the power button board, follow these steps:
