Multimedia Volume Controls You can adjust volume with the volume buttons on the computer. Instructions are provided later in this section. The volume mute button on the computer overrides all software volume settings. You can also adjust volume by using the volume control software available in the Windows operating system and in some Windows multimedia applications. Instructions are provided later in this section. ■ To adjust volume using the computer volume buttons: ❏ To decrease volume, press the volume down button 1. ❏ To mute volume, press the volume mute button 2. ❏ To increase volume, press the volume up button 3. ❏ To restore volume, press the volume down, volume up, or volume mute button.
