Keyboard base replacement procedures There are as many as 58 screws that must be removed, replaced, and/or loosened when servicing the keyboard base. Make special note of each screw size and location during removal and replacement. Bottom cover Description Bottom cover (includes 2 round rubber feet and one oblong rubber foot) Spare part number 766602-001 Before disassembling the keyboard base, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is off or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the tablet by unplugging the power cord from the tablet. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the tablet. 4. Disconnect the tablet from the keyboard base. Remove the bottom cover: 1. Turn the keyboard upside down with the front edge toward you. 2. Remove the six Philllips PM1.9×6.6 screws (1) and the five Philllips PM1.9×2.4 screws (2) that secure the bottom cover to the top cover. 3. Remove the bottom cover (3). Keyboard base replacement procedures
There are as many as 58 screws that must be removed, replaced, and/or loosened when servicing the
keyboard base. Make special note of each screw size and location during removal and replacement.

Before disassembling the keyboard base, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is off or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on, and
then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the tablet by unplugging the power cord from the tablet.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the tablet.
4.
Disconnect the tablet from the keyboard base.
Remove the bottom cover:
1.
Turn the keyboard upside down with the front edge toward you.
2.
Remove the six Philllips PM1.9×6.6 screws

and the five Philllips PM1.9×2.4 screws
(2)
that secure
the bottom cover to the top cover.
3.
Remove the bottom cover

Reverse this procedure to install the back cover.
