3. Remove the following screws that secure the top cover to the computer as follows: (1) 3 Phillips broadhead PM2.0×3.0 screws from the battery bay (2) 2 Phillips PM2.0×4.0 screws from the battery bay (3) 2 Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws from the optical drive bay 4. Position the computer upright and open it as far as possible. 5. Remove the four Torx T8M2.5×8.0 screws that secure the top cover to the computer. Component replacement procedures 49

Remove the following screws that secure the top cover to the computer as follows:
(1)
3 Phillips broadhead PM2.0×3.0 screws from the battery bay
(2)
2 Phillips PM2.0×4.0 screws from the battery bay
(3)
2 Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws from the optical drive bay
4.
Position the computer upright and open it as far as possible.
5.
Remove the four Torx T8M2.5×8.0 screws that secure the top cover to the computer.
