Before removing the 3.5 inch primary hard drive, follow these steps: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 23). 2. Remove the access panel (Access panel on page 23). 3. Remove the optical drive (Optical drive on page 24). 4. Remove the front bezel (Front bezel on page 25). 5. Remove the optical drive cage (Optical drive cage on page 26). Remove the 3.5 inch primary hard drive: 1. Disconnect the power cable (1) and data cable from the 3.5 inch primary hard drive. 2. Remove the RF bracket (2) (only on computer models equipped with a wireless WLAN module). 3. Remove the three Torx15 screws (3) that secure the 3.5 inch primary hard drive cage to the system chassis. 4.
