Update SMBIOS information in Computer Setup. Wireless antennas (select models only) To remove the wireless antennas, use these procedures. The external connection antennas route from the WLAN module to the cable connectors on the front and rear panels of the computer. Before removing the wireless antennas, follow these steps: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 23). 2. Remove the access panel (Access panel on page 23). 3. Remove the optical drive (Optical drive on page 24). 4. Remove the front bezel (Front bezel on page 25). 5. Remove the optical drive cage (Optical drive cage on page 26). 6. Remove the primary drive cage (3.5 inch primary hard drive on page 28). 7. Disconnect the wireless antenna cables from the WLAN module (WLAN module on page 39). Remove the wireless antennas: 1. Remove the slotted Torx15 screw (1) that secures the wireless antenna transceiver to the system chassis front panel. 2. Remove the wireless antenna transceiver (2). 3. Release the wireless antenna cable through the opening (3) in the system chassis front panel. 4. Position the system chassis with the rear panel toward you. 5. Remove the wireless antenna cables from the routing channel (1) built into the system chassis. 6. Press down and hold the clip (2) on the plastic transceiver cover, and then remove the cover (3) by toeing it out of the system chassis rear panel. ENWW Wireless antennas (select models only) 49

Wireless antennas (select models only)
To remove the wireless antennas, use these procedures. The external connection antennas route from the WLAN
