Using the Products View ■ Status indicator. This is the colored symbol behind the product's illustration in the icon. - A blinking red and yellow diamond means that the product has failed and requires immediate service. - A yellow triangle means that the product is degraded, but is still performing as designed. - A green circle means that the product is fully operational. - A gray square means that the HAFM cannot determine product status. If a status symbol does not display behind the product, the product is not managed by the HAFM server to which you are logged in. Either the product name or network address, WWN, domain ID, or nickname (if configured) displays at the bottom of the icon. Select the display through Display Options in the view's right-click pop-up menu from the drop-down menu on the tool bar. Refer to "View Pop-Up Menu" in the next section for details. ■ Product Name - Select this option to display the product's name in the icon label. Change a product's name through the Product Manager application. Refer to your Product Manager user manual for instructions. ■ Network Address - Select this option to display the product's IP address or DNS (domain name server) host name in the icon label. Configure network addresses through the New Product dialog box. ■ World Wide Name - Select this option to display the product's 8-byte WWN. ■ Domain ID - Select this option to display the product's domain identification number (1-31) assigned by the fabric. ■ Nickname - Select this option to display the nickname, if configured through the Configure Nicknames dialog box (Configure menu on menu bar). If the nickname is not configured, the WWN displays instead. Note: If the product name displays inside the icon, moving the cursor over the icon displays the network address below the icon. If the network address displays inside the icon, moving the cursor over the icon displays the product name below the icon. The most critical status reflected by a product in the view is also reflected in the Products status bar in the left corner of the HAFM status bar.
