Using the Products View Display Options This option displays additional options for displaying the label beneath the icon. ■ Product Name - Choose this option to display the product's name in the icon label. Change a product's name through the Product Manager application. Refer to the Product Manager user guide for your switch or director model for instructions. ■ Network Address - Choose this option to display the product's IP address or DNS (domain name server) host name in the icon label. Configure network addresses through the New Product dialog box. ■ World Wide Name - Select this option to display the product's 8-byte WWN. ■ Domain ID - Select this option to display the product's domain identification number (1-31) assigned by the fabric. ■ Nickname - Select this option to display the nickname, if configured through the Configure Nicknames dialog box (Configure menu on menu bar). If the nickname is not configured, the WWN displays instead. Sort Options This option displays additional options for displaying product icons. ■ By Name - Arrange icons alphabetically, by product name. ■ By Severity - (Default). Arrange icons according to the product's operating status. Failed products appear first, followed by products with degraded, then unknown, then fully operational status. Within these groupings, icons appear alphabetically by their network address (IP address or DNS host name) or product name, depending on the selected display option. High Availability Fabric Manager User Guide
Display Options
This option displays additional options for displaying the label beneath the icon.
Product Name
— Choose this option to display the product’s name in the
icon label. Change a product’s name through the
Product Manager
application. Refer to the Product Manager user guide for your switch or
director model for instructions.
Network Address
— Choose this option to display the product’s IP address
or DNS (domain name server) host name in the icon label. Configure network
