Preparing for Disk Array Device Configuration Before the disk array is connected to the SGI system, you must perform the following tasks: 1. Set the host mode for the disk array SCSI (XP256) and Fibre Channel ports. 2. (Fibre Channel only) Configure the disk array Fibre Channel ports. You use the LUN Configuration Manager Remote Control software to set the host modes for the disk array ports and configure the Fibre Channel ports. After completing these steps, you must: 1. Shut down the SGI system. 2. Connect the disk array. 3. Restart the SGI system. Preparing for Disk Array Device Configuration
Before the disk array is connected to the SGI system, you must perform the following
tasks:
1.
Set the host mode for the disk array SCSI (XP256) and Fibre Channel ports.
2.
(Fibre Channel only)
Configure the disk array Fibre Channel ports.
You use the LUN Configuration Manager Remote Control software to set the host
modes for the disk array ports and configure the Fibre Channel ports.
After completing these steps, you must:
1.
Shut down the SGI system.
2.
Connect the disk array.
3.
Restart the SGI system.
