HP ThinState utility HP ThinState capture and deploy allows you to capture a thin client image and deploy it to other thin clients of the same model. To access this utility, click Applications > System Tools > HP ThinState Capture. The HP ThinState Capture tool is a simple wizard-based tool that can be used to capture an HP thin client image that can then be deployed to another HP thin client of identical model and hardware. What do you need to have? ● An HP thin client Linux unit that contains the latest HP-provided image ● An HP-approved USB drive key NOTE: The HP ThinState Capture tool is not a standalone tool and can only be accessed by the administrator from within the thin client image. Save all data on the USB flash drive to some other device prior to performing this procedure. The USB flash drive will be formatted and all data will be lost. Close all other applications and do not make any changes to the system flash during this process. To use HP ThinState to capture thin client settings: NOTE: It is recommended that any previously captured settings files be deleted from the USB flash drive before performing the following steps. 1.
