Rear fan Follow these steps to remove the rear fan: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 16). 2. Remove the access panel (see Access panel on page 20). 3. Remove the four Phillips M5.0×12.0 screws (1) that secure the rear fan to the computer.. 4. Lift the rear fan (2) as far as the rear fan cable allows. 5. Disconnect the rear fan cable (3) from the system board. 6. Remove the rear fan. Reverse this procedure to install the rear fan. 26 Chapter 4 Removal and replacement procedures

Rear fan
Follow these steps to remove the rear fan:

2.
Remove the access panel (see

3.
Remove the four Phillips M5.0×12.0 screws
(1)
that secure the rear fan to the computer..
4.
Lift the rear fan

as far as the rear fan cable allows.
5.
Disconnect the rear fan cable

from the system board.
6.
Remove the rear fan.
Reverse this procedure to install the rear fan.
