Removing the riser card and the I/O connector card as an assembly To remove the riser card and the I/O connector card as an assembly: 1. Open the unit. See "Removing and installing the top cover" on page 12. Note: The HDD tray can remain in place. 2. Lift the riser card assembly 1 up and out to access the cable. 3. Disconnect the cable 2 by pinching the latch on the connector that connects to the riser card assembly. 4. To install the riser card assembly, reverse this procedure, being careful to avoid pinching the cables. 5. Be sure to press down on the riser-card assembly at the locations indicated in blue on the riser card and on the I/O connector card assembly to ensure that it is snapped into place. 20 SurePOS Installation and Service

Removing and installing the riser card and the I/O connector card as
an assembly
To remove the riser card and the I/O connector card as an assembly:
1.
Open the unit. See “Removing and installing the top cover” on page 12.
Note:
The HDD tray can remain in place.
2.
Lift the riser card assembly
±1²
up and out to access the cable.
3.
Disconnect the cable
±2²
by pinching the latch on the connector that connects to
the riser card assembly.
4.
To install the riser card assembly, reverse this procedure, being careful to avoid
pinching the cables.
5.
Be sure to press down on the riser-card assembly at the locations indicated in
blue on the riser card and on the I/O connector card assembly to ensure that it
is snapped into place.
