See "Removing and installing the top cover" on page 12. 2. Remove the hard drive assembly. See "Removing and installing the hard disk drive and hard disk tray as an assembly" on page 15. 3. If a flash drive is installed, remove it. See "Removing and installing the flash drive" on page 16. 4. Remove the riser card and the I/O connector card. See "Removing and installing the riser card and the I/O connector card as an assembly" on page 20. 5. Locate the CMOS jumper 1 as shown in Figure 19. 6. Remove the jumper from the left and middle pins and place it on the middle and right pins; leave it there for at least 10 seconds. 7. Re-install the jumper to the original position on the left and middle pins. 8. Reverse the steps to reassemble the unit. Resetting the system board CMOS settings
Follow these steps to reset the system board CMOS to the default settings:
1.
Open the unit. See “Removing and installing the top cover” on page 12.
2.
Remove the hard drive assembly. See “Removing and installing the hard disk
drive and hard disk tray as an assembly” on page 15.
3.
If a flash drive is installed, remove it. See “Removing and installing the flash
drive” on page 16.
4.
Remove the riser card and the I/O connector card. See “Removing and
installing the riser card and the I/O connector card as an assembly” on page 20.
5.
Locate the CMOS jumper
±1²
as shown in Figure 19.
6.
Remove the jumper from the left and middle pins and place it on the middle and
right pins; leave it there for at least 10 seconds.
7.
Re-install the jumper to the original position on the left and middle pins.
8.
Reverse the steps to reassemble the unit.
Removing and installing the battery
Note:
The system board coin cell battery is a Lithium Manganese Dioxide type.
