Disconnecting cables and removing the cover 1. Touch the rear of the bare metal frame of the server to dissipate any static electricity from your body. 2. Unplug all power cords from electrical outlets. 3. If you have a modem or fax machine attached to your server, disconnect the telephone line from the wall outlet and the server. 4. Disconnect all cables attached to the server; this includes power cords, input/output (I/O) cables, and any other cables connected to the server. cover

Touch the rear of the bare metal frame of the server
to dissipate any static electricity from your body.
2.
Unplug all power cords from electrical outlets.
3.
If you have a modem or fax machine attached to your
server, disconnect the telephone line from the wall
outlet and the server.
4.
Disconnect all cables attached to the server; this
includes power cords, input/output (I/O) cables, and
any other cables connected to the server.
