Replacing a hot-swap fan

Refer to the following illustration to install a hot-swap power supply. Handle DC power light AC power light Filler panel To install an additional power supply: 1. Review "Before you begin" on page 43. 2. Remove the filler panel. 3. Place the handle on the power supply in the open position. 4. Slide the power supply into the chassis and close the handle. 5. Plug one end of the power cord into the power supply; then, plug the other end of the cord into a properly grounded electrical outlet. 6. Verify that the DC power light and the AC power light on the power supply are lit, indicating that the power supply is operating properly. CAUTION: If you install a strain-relief bracket option over the end of the power cord that is connected to the device, you must connect the other end of the power cord to an easily accessible power source. To install an additional power supply:

Remove the filler panel.
3.
Place the handle on the power supply in the open position.
4.
Slide the power supply into the chassis and close the handle.
5.
Plug one end of the power cord into the power supply; then, plug the other
end of the cord into a properly grounded electrical outlet.
6.
Verify that the DC power light and the AC power light on the power supply
are lit, indicating that the power supply is operating properly.
