■ ATB Ring Back function If enabled, this feature is effective when a subscriber attempts to push [PTT] while the site is in an "All Trunks Busy" status, and/or is still "Receiving a Downlink" at the time the [PTT] is pushed. In the event of an "All Trunks Busy" condition, and/or a condition of "Receiving a Downlink," a quick [PTT] push results in the transceiver going into a waiting for an open repeater mode. When an open repeater signal is received by the transceiver, the transceiver handshakes and holds the channel for the pre-programmed time period. After receiving a handshake beep, the transceiver will hold the channel for this period before it releases it. The operator must then key up their transceiver to communicate. Failure of the operator to push [PTT] before this timer expires results in a loss of the channel grant and another push of the [PTT] will be required. When the pre-programmed CH Reserve Timeout timer elapses, the transceiver returns to its default state. • This function is usable in transceivers whose revision number is 4.4 or later. ATB Ring Back function
If enabled, this feature is effective when a subscriber attempts
to push
[PTT]
while the site is in an “All Trunks Busy” status,
and/or is still “Receiving a Downlink” at the time the
[PTT]
is
pushed.
In the event of an “All Trunks Busy” condition, and/or a con-
dition of “Receiving a Downlink,” a quick
[PTT]
push results
in the transceiver going into a waiting for an open repeater
mode. When an open repeater signal is received by the trans-
ceiver, the transceiver handshakes and holds the channel for
the pre-programmed time period. After receiving a handshake
beep, the transceiver will hold the channel for this period be-
fore it releases it. The operator must then key up their trans-
ceiver to communicate. Failure of the operator to push
[PTT]
before this timer expires results in a loss of the channel grant
and another push of the
[PTT]
will be required.
When the pre-programmed CH Reserve Timeout timer
elapses, the transceiver returns to its default state.
