10 NMEA 2000 CONNECTION (Depending on versions) ■■Description NMEA 2000 is a communication standard used to connect various marine devices and display units in the vessel. The IC-M506 can easily connect to a NMEA 2000 network with its plug-and-play functionality, and display the information provided from the devices on the network. D NMEA 2000 settings Select the sensors in NMEA 2000 network which sends data to the transceiver. q E nter "NMEA 2000 SETTINGS" menu in the menu screen. MENU ➪ (Push [MENU]) NMEA 2000 (Select icon) w S elect the type of data from the menu screen and push [ENT]. w T he transceiver starts searching the devices connected to NMEA 2000 network. e T he list of connected device is displayed. r S elect the device to send the data to transceiver and push [ENT]. • Push [INFO] to display the detail of device. • If the transceiver is connected to both NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 devices, the NMEA 2000 device has priority. Select "Not Used" if you want to use NMEA 0183 devices. t Push [MENU] to exit the MENU screen. 89
