Using the Setup Program Security Menu This menu is for setting passwords and security features. Table 14. Security Menu Feature User Password Is Supervisor Password Is Set User Password Set Supervisor Password Clear User Password User Setup Access Unattended Start Options No options No options Password can be up to seven alphanumeric characters. Password can be up to seven alphanumeric characters. No Options • None • View Only • Limited Access • Full Access (default) • Disabled (default) • Enabled Description Reports if there is a user password set. Reports if there is a supervisor password set. Specifies the user password. Specifies the supervisor password. Clears the user password. Enables or disables User Setup Access. None prevents the user from accessing Setup. Enables the unattended start feature. When enabled, the computer boots, but the keyboard is locked. The user must enter a password to unlock the computer or boot from a floppy diskette. Power Menu This menu is for setting power management features. Table 15. Specifies the amount of time before the computer enters standby mode. Enables power management for hard disks during standby and suspend modes. Specifies power management for video during standby and suspend modes. Select Yes to force the fan to remain on when the system is in a power managed state. 44
