Radio Settings for tuner reception 1 Display the screen. On the source control screen, touch as follows: 2 Make the settings. [NEWS]*1 • 00min to 90min: Activates New Standby Reception by selecting the period of time to disable the interruption. The NEWS indicator lights up. • OFF (Initial): Deactivates the function. [AF] When driving in an area where FM reception is not sufficient enough, this unit automatically tunes in to another FM Radio Data System station of the same network with stronger signals- NetworkTracking Reception (AF: Alternative Frequencies). • ON: Switches to another station. The program may differ from the one currently received.*2 • OFF (Initial): Deactivates the function. [Regional] When driving in an area where FM reception is not sufficient enough, this unit automatically tunes in to another FM Radio Data System station of the same program with stronger signals- NetworkTracking Reception (Regional). • ON: Switches to another station broadcasting the same program.*2 • OFF (Initial): Deactivates the function. [LO.S] You can tune in FM stations only with strong signals-Local Seek. • ON: Tunes in only to FM stations with sufficient signal strength. The LO.S indicator lights up. • OFF (Initial): Deactivates the function. [Auto TP Seek] When traffic information station reception is poor, the unit automatically searches for another station that can be received better-Auto TP Seek. • ON (Initial): Automatically searches for a station with better reception for traffic information if the current reception of current station is poor. • OFF: Deactivates the function. [Language Select] Select the language to display for PTY search. • British English (en) (Initial)/Espanol (es)/ Francais (fr)/Nederlands (nl)/Norsk (no)/ Portugues (pt)/Svenska (sv)/Deutsch (de) To close the setting window, touch [Close]. [Aerial Control]*3 • ON (Initial): Keeps the antenna extended even when "Radio" is not selected as the current source. • OFF: Stores the antenna automatically when the source is changed from "Radio" to another source. *1 The volume adjustment for Traffic Information is automatically memorized. The next time the unit switches to Traffic Information, the volume is set to the previous level. *2 The RDS indicator lights up when the Network-Tracking Reception is activated. - Lights in white: Radio Data System station is being received. - Lights in orange: Radio Data System station is not being received. *3 Only for DDX718WBT/DMX718WBT.
