Return to the Top page Audio Setting Up Highway sound setting You can boost a certain range of sound that becomes hard to hear due to road noise. 1 Touch [Highway Sound] in the Graphic Equalizer screen. Highway Sound screen appears. Controlling equalizer manually 1 Touch [Tone] in the Equalizer screen. 2 Set each item as follows. 2 Select the boost level from among [High], [Low], and [OFF]. operation Controlling EQ curves 1 Select EQ curve from [Natural], [Rock], [Pops], [Easy], [Top40], [Jazz], and [User] using [2] and [3]. Controlling SystemQ-Ex Selects items to be adjusted for tone curve setup. If you turn off this setting, only Level can be set up for tone curves. 1 Touch [ON] or [OFF] of [SystemQ-Ex]. FREQ Adjusts the center frequency for each range. Setting values are as follows. Bass: 40Hz/50Hz/60Hz/70Hz/80Hz/100Hz/120 Hz/150Hz (Default is "100Hz".) Middle: 5 00Hz/1kHz/1.5kHz/2kHz (Default is "1kHz".) Treble: 10kHz/12.5kHz/15kHz/17.5kHz (Default is "12.5kHz".) LEVEL Adjusts the level of each range. Each setting value is within -8dB and 8dB and default is "0dB". Q Factor Adjust Q value for bass and middle. Setting values are as follows. Bass: 1/1.25/1.5/2 (Default is "1".) Middle: 1/2 (Default is "1".) Bass DC EXT Turns Bass DC EXT on or off. Default is "OFF". If you select "ON", the bass center frequency is extended to the low register by approximately 20%. [Flat] Tone level becomes 0 (flat). Subwoofer Level Adjusts the subwoofer volume. This setting is not available when subwoofer is set to "OFF". See Speaker setup (P.90). 96 Zone Control You can select different sources for both front and rear positions in the vehicle. 1 Touch [Zone Control]. Zone Control screen appears. 2 Touch [Dual Zone]. Return to the Top page Audio Setting Up NOTE • When the rear speaker sound is switched, the audio source that is output at the AV OUTPUT terminal is also switched to the same source. • When the dual zone function is set to on, the following functions are not available. • Output from the subwoofer • Subwoofer Level/Bass Boost (P.94) • Equalizer Control/Space Enhancer / Listening Position (P.95, 97, 98) • DSP Bypass Control /Speaker Setup/Car Type Setup (P.93, 90, 92) Space Enhancer 1 Touch [Space Enhancer]. 3 Set each source as follows. Space Enhancer screen appears. 2 Touch [Small], [Large], or [OFF]. Each setting value indicates the soundscape level. NOTE • This setting is not available during HD Radio tuner source. [3] (Front Source, Rear Source) Select the audio source for each. [∞], [5] (Rear VOL.) Adjusts the rear channel volume. [Single Zone] Touch to turn off the dual zone function. 97

FREQ
Adjusts the center frequency for each range.
Setting values are as follows.
Bass:
40Hz/50Hz/60Hz/70Hz/80Hz/100Hz/120
Hz/150Hz (Default is “100Hz”.)
Middle:
500Hz/1kHz/1.5kHz/2kHz (Default is
“1kHz”.)
Treble:
10kHz/12.5kHz/15kHz/17.5kHz (Default
is “12.5kHz”.)
LEVEL
Adjusts the level of each range.
Each setting value is within -8dB and 8dB and
default is “0dB”.
Q Factor
Adjust Q value for bass and middle.
Setting values are as follows.
Bass:
1/1.25/1.5/2 (Default is “1”.)
Middle:
1/2 (Default is “1”.)
Bass DC EXT
Turns Bass DC EXT on or off. Default is “OFF”.
If you select “ON”, the bass center frequency is
extended to the low register by approximately
20%.
[Flat]
Tone level becomes 0 (flat).
Subwoofer Level
Adjusts the subwoofer volume. This setting is
not available when subwoofer is set to “OFF”.
