Adjust the MIC gain control for SSB or the CAR control for CW to keep the ALC meter moving in the ALC zone (but no higher) while transmitting. Press the [SEND] button again when you want to return to the receive mode. This completes your introduction to the TS-870S, but there is a great deal more to know.
