Chapter 5. Upgrading and replacing devices Detaching and attaching the bottom side of the leather cover Your computer has the leather cover attached to the display and bottom side of it. You need to detach the bottom side of the cover to access the devices installed in your computer, such as battery, memory or hard disk drive. To detach the cover, do as follows: 1. Turn off the computer; then disconnect the ac adapter and all cables from the computer. Note: If you are using a PC Card or Secure Digital Card, the computer might not be able to enter hibernation mode. If this happens, turn off the computer. 2. Detaching and attaching the bottom side of the leather cover
Your computer has the leather cover attached to the display and bottom side
of it. You need to detach the bottom side of the cover to access the devices
installed in your computer, such as battery, memory or hard disk drive.
To detach the cover, do as follows:
1.
Turn off the computer
; then disconnect the ac adapter and all cables from
the computer.
Note:
If you are using a PC Card or Secure Digital Card, the computer
might not be able to enter hibernation mode. If this happens, turn
off the computer.
2.
Close the computer display, and turn the computer over.
3.
The hooks on the inside of the cover are used to hold it in place.
