AVOID PAPER JAMS • Flex the paper. • Make sure the drawer is properly installed. • Make sure paper is loaded correctly. • Make sure the paper stack you load does not exceed the maximum stack height indicated in the tray. • Make sure the paper or specialty media meets specifications and is not damaged. • Make sure the guides are positioned correctly for the paper size loaded. Memory card Make sure the memory card is securely connected to the printer system board. Cannot detect flash memory card Make sure the flash memory card is securely connected to the printer system board. Cannot detect printer hard disk Make sure the printer hard disk is securely connected to the printer system board. Internal Solutions Port does not operate correctly Try one or more of the following: CHECK THE INTERNAL SOLUTIONS PORT (ISP) CONNECTIONS Make sure the ISP is securely connected to the printer system board. CHECK THE CABLE Make sure you are using the correct cable and that it is securely connected to the Internal Solutions (ISP) port. MAKE SURE THE NETWORK SOFTWARE IS CONFIGURED CORRECTLY For information on installing the network printing software, see the Networking Guide on the Software and Documentation CD. Internal print server does not operate correctly Try one or more of the following: CHECK THE PRINT SERVER CONNECTIONS • Make sure the internal print server is attached securely to the printer system board. • Make sure you are using the correct cable and that it is securely connected.
