Adding the NSS to your Network Configuring the NSS Network Identification 3 Configuring the NSS Network Identification The Network Identification page is where you configure the network identity of the NSS, including the hostname and domain membership. Before you join the NSS to an NTv4 or Active Directory Service (ADS) domain, do the following: • Configure the IP and DNS information. From the Manager Menu, click Network DNS/WINS to configure the DNS sever information. See "Configuring DNS or WINS for Name Resolution," on page 28. • Configure the NTP Server to synchronize with the ADS server. See "Configuring the Timing Settings," on page140.T • Set up the Home Directory Location on the User/Group Settings page. This is used for both domain users and local users. See "Configuring the User/Group Settings," on page 99. From the Manager Menu, click Access Time. To configure the NSS network identity: STEP 1 From the Manager Menu, click Network Identification. Configuring the NSS Network Identification
The
Network Identification
page is where you configure the network identity of
the NSS, including the hostname and domain membership.
Before you join the NSS to an NTv4 or Active Directory Service (ADS) domain, do
the following:
Configure the IP and DNS information.
